Group Classes

 

Class-MatMat Classes

Pilates mat classes take place in a group setting and include Pilates exercises preformed on the floor. These classes use your own body weight as the primary source of resistance. Sometimes props, such as foam rollers, fitness circles and hand weights are used to increase the resistance and challenge. These classes are fun and challenging and will strengthen and tone your body, as well as improve flexibility. It’s a wonderful abdominal workout.

Classes emphasise the foundational principals of Pilates while offering modifications and variations to suit each client’s individual needs

Maximum 6-9 participants per class.
Suitability: all levels.

Pilates on the Ball Classes

A full body dynamic version of the mat class, incorporating the Fit-ball & other small props. Improve your core stability, core strength, flexibility & coordination. Tone your abs, arms & arse!

Maximum 6-7 participants per class
Suitability: all levels.

50/50 Classes

A full body Matwork & Reformer class that will challenge your fitness by taking the best from both types of group class. One class, twice the Pilates!

Maximum 5-6 participants per class.
Suitability: all levels.

 

Class-ReformerReformer Classes

A workout using one of the most popular pieces of Pilates equipment – The Reformer. The Reformer is a Pilates machine that uses spring resistance. It has a moveable carriage and pulley system to assist you to increase strength, flexibility and core stability in a workout you will love as much as the results.

Jumpilates Classes

This is a dynamic CARDIO challenge using the Reformer & incorporating the Jumpboard. They are packed full of abdominal, arm & leg exercises

Suitability: Those more experienced at Pilates/Xtend Barre. It is unsuitable for some knee & ankle issues (please check with your instructor/reception if you are unsure).

50/50 Classes

A full body Matwork & Reformer class that will challenge your fitness by taking the best from both types of group class. One class, twice the Pilates!

Class-CircuitCircuit Classes

Circuit classes are a full body endurance workout that utilises all the studio equipment: Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Barrels, Core Fitness Roller, Freeform Board and various props.

Classes are pre choreographed and tailored to your individual body and skill level. They run on a 5 week cycle to keep it fresh. In each cycle you will learn to develop and master a range of exercises, then build on that knowledge in the next cycle.

Maximum 3-4 participants per class.
Suitability: All levels, including pre and post natal

 

Class-PrePostNatalPre & Post-Natal Classes

At Emergy Pilates Lounge we welcome mums-to-be to our safe and fun workouts on the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Swiss Ball and Cadillac, using various props for variety.

Our pre-natal Circuit classes, Privates or Semi-privates incorporate exercises that improve the overall strength of your body and prepare you for the birth of your child, in a safe and stimulating way.

After the arrival of your baby, we are also keen to help you get back into shape and offer workouts that allow you to exercise in a gentle, yet effective way.  Make sure before you attend your first class you have had your 6-week clearance from your doctor and an indication of how much abdominal separation (if any) that you have.

Class-MumsDadsBubsMums, Dads & Bubs Classes

The Mums, Dads and Bubs classes are a fun Circuit workout on the Reformer, Wunda Chair, Swiss Ball, Cadillac & various Pilates props with your beautiful baby coming along. If you’re a mum, make sure before you attend your first class you have had your 6-week clearance from your doctor and an indication of how much abdominal separation (if any) that you have.

You will be able to participate in classes while your little one is non-mobile. As soon as they become mobile, they will be too tempted to put their little fingers into places they shouldn’t go!

Mums, Dads and Bubs group classes run by appointment only with a minimum of 3 adult participants (you & 2 friends). You may also book a Private class if you prefer. We arrange your classes at a time when you can bring your baby & have the studio to yourself/selves.

You may bring a wrap or blanket to lie your baby on one of our mats on the floor during class & we are more than happy to give cuddles if that is what your little one enjoys, so that you can have a satisfying workout.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class to complete a form and to discuss with your instructor your experience and injuries, if any.
